Gen Z: Society’s Change Agents and the Accelerators of “Next”
The majority of today's businesses are about to be blindsided. While companies remain focused on the youth of America based on what they think they know about Millennials, they are missing the massive sociocultural shift underway that will impact their strategy and growth plans for years to come. Today's 14- to 24-year-olds—dubbed "Gen Z"—are true digital natives coming of age against a backdrop of unprecedented political, social, technological and economic change. These circumstances are shaping a generation that has found its voice and is changing our society, rewriting cultural norms, and questioning decades-old geopolitical and business assumptions. Gen Z’s high expectations of consumerism, the workplace and the world they have inherited aren’t far-off future-state ideologies, they are table stakes that have already been set and will largely determine the future of your business.

Learner Outcomes:

  • Overview of the diverse, educated, pragmatic and digitally savvy Gen Z cohort, and why and how they are accelerators of change
  • Explore Gen Z’s authentic, pragmatic and authentic mindset, and why this matters to companies from both a consumer and workplace perspective (transparency, ESG, DE&I, etc.)
  • Gain an understanding of Gen Z segmentation, and explore why one size does not fit all
