Kathy Hayward is a pharmacist, Certified Respiratory Educator, Certified Tobacco Educator working in an outpatient respiratory clinic in a large academic hospital. She graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, and has worked in Alberta in several community pharmacy location and in Primary Care clinics. She finds that being an educator allows her to collaborate with other health care professionals and encourage dialogue with people seeking care in pharmacy. In the outpatient specialty clinic setting she has been able to use a number of her skills in helping people achieve better outcomes. She had the privilege of being a co-author on the “ CTS Guideline A Focused Update on the management of Mild and very Statement Update on Very Mild and Mild Asthma 2021”, she has authored articles for pharmacy publications and CE’s. She finds helping other professionals increase their knowledge and skills to help people manage their health conditions to be one of the most rewarding parts of her career. Living in Calgary allows her to be able to watch her grandchildren grow and learn in the lovely surroundings of the Rocky Mountains
