Migraine is the third most prevalent illness in the world that can cause significant burden to patients. migraine care is emerging as a topic of great interest with new acute therapies on the horizon. This session will explore the role of pharmacists in managing patients with migraine with a focus on optimizing acute therapies. Learn about acute migraine medications with special formulations, and a teaser about the new class of migraine medication called the gepants. A unique consultation service that is being provided in a community pharmacy will be discussed. Real world patient case(s) will be reviewed.
