Description

Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a common dermatological condition that has a significant impact on infected patients. These patients will likely have seen many healthcare professionals and wait years before initial diagnosis. Even after diagnosis, many of these patients fail to reach their treatment goals with their prescribed therapy.

Pharmacists can play a key role in improving outcomes in people with HS. They can help to identify patients with the symptoms and apply the most recently published guidelines to ensure optimal treatment. In this session, we will review HS, its impact, ways to manage the condition, and the important role of the pharmacist in HS management.
