Sonal Purohit graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science in 1996 and then a Bachelor of Pharmacy in 2001. She has been a pharmacist/owner of Shoppers Drug Mart franchises for 17 years and currently operates two locations in Manitoba. In addition, she is actively involved in various provincial and national pharmacy boards and associations. A keen interest in the profession and passion to mentor students led Sonal to become an Instructor for the College of Pharmacy, University of Manitoba for 10-plus years ago. She has been the pharmacist consultant and pharmacist instructor at Robertson College for the Pharmacy Technician Program for eight years. Sonal recently became Vice-President for the Executive Council for the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba.
