Community pharmacists are presented with the opportunity to assess a patient’s preventable travel-related health risks with every incoming script for a travel vaccination. Pharmacists can advise patients on appropriate interventions to promote health and prevent adverse health outcomes during travel. Pharmacists can often offer additional vaccines and medications providing comprehensive and accessible care for patients travelling abroad, forging a stronger patient-pharmacist partnership.
