Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a potentially destructive inflammatory arthritis that can impair physical functioning, psychosocial well-being and work productivity. The delay in receiving a diagnosis can be challenging for patients who may have undetected PsA, in some literature of up to 7 years. In this unique patient journey, pharmacists can play a high value role in the optimization of new advanced therapies. The complexity of PsA as a condition can lend itself towards the creation of novel specialized pharmacist-led services that improve disease detection, patient outcomes, and can lead to a sustainable multidisciplinary approach which this session will explore.
