Speaker Bio
Aaron Sihota is a Primary Care Pharmacist and Clinical Associate Professor at the UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary group of specialist physicians and nurses to educate, monitor, and optimize patients with inflammatory skin and joint diseases.
Aaron is a co-chair for the upcoming Canadian Acne Guidelines (www.acneguidelines.com) and co-created a dermatology elective course at UBC’s Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Doctor of Pharmacy program. The course examined dermatologic conditions through a collaborative-practice perspective and key considerations in topical formulation design with teaching faculty that includes dermatologists and rheumatologists.
He has been published in multiple peer-reviewed academic journals and has developed multiple dermatology healthcare educational programs that have been delivered across North America as well as Asia.
Aaron also is chair of the Dermatology Center of Excellence, an innovative national initiative he will spotlight during his PharmacyU Vancouver session.
